History

We wrote a speech to Stalin in history today.
Pretending to be a factory manager
Who hasn't reached his insanely ambitious production targets
Specific by the Soviet Government.

A Speech to Stalin from a Factory Manager
-by Hilda Foo and Kathleen Tan-

O honoured comrade Stalin,
Welcome to our humble factory, created and driven by your highly ingenious, economical mind. I present to you one of our top shock workers, Aleksandr Kovalev. He always works like a shock workers, exceeding his norms, while economising on the raw materials. In fact, he receives prizes every month, his work station always being neat and well cleaned and the quality of the shovels he manufactures of the top quality.

I should like to assure you, comrade, of our quality goods, which far surpass the average quality of shovels produced anywhere in the Soviet Union. I believe the high quality of our products justifies our factory not reaching the quotas specified. In fact, the neighbouring quarries have all praised the quality of our shovels. Even one of the foreman, comrade Ivan Stepanovich commented that our shovels allow his workmen to dig ten times as fast as with any other shovel.

We are currently in the process of training new workers to match the standard of our best shock workers and continue production of our quality shovels. In fact, as we speak, our production is continually increasing and I would like to firmly reassure you that we will fulfil these targets in a matter of days!

Someone said they don't think we'll get purged.
But we would end up in some very hot Soviet broth.

I .B. hi story's crazy fun
The workload's just crazy.

I did a lot of thinking last night.
I hate the way ______.
I hate the person _____.
I wish I didn't ______.

I need to talk about it more.
I need to understand.
I want to understand.

CHANGE
It's such a big word.
Daunting, much?

I'm still feeling very much overwhelmed.
Disheartened, slightly demoralised.
I can't believe it's come to such a point.

I'm scared.

Frustrated.

Completely the opposite of what I usually am.

... And I'm yet glad _________.
